Client Services
Indigenous people face a multitude of barriers when it comes to employment, which often contribute to disparities and challenges in accessing meaningful and sustainable employment opportunities.
Coordinators are eager to support, assist, counsel and provide information for Indigenous people within the region who are planning their careers and seeking employment and training.
Coordinators assist clients in overcoming barriers that are holding them back from achieving success in employment and career opportunities.
Client assessments take a holistic approach to overcoming employment obstacles. Coordinators work with clients to develop individual employment plans that take into account home and family life responsibilities, upgrading, up-skilling, short and long-term career goals and financial support services.
The ATC Employment & Training department offers clients access to an Employment Resource Centre with computers, printers, internet access for online job searching, applications, and submissions.
The department team maintains relationships with Indigenous clients who are ready, willing, and able to gain employment and connects them with employers.
