Haul Truck Program 

 This program is offered to First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people living in Fort McMurray.

Launch your career in the oil sands industry, apply today!

This is a 4-week in-person program with hands-on training.

After completion:

  • All students will have a work placement with Industry leaders Tuccaro, Suncor, and Syncrude with options that could lead to full-time employment.

  • You’ll be able to start working immediately with the proper PPE and safety tickets and an updated resume/cover letter.

  • ATC will help all students find full-time employment.

Typical starting wages are $36 - $45/hr.

To be eligible for this program participants must have the following:

  • Be a First Nation, Métis and Inuit Individual currently be residing in Fort McMurray

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Proof of Grade 12 completion, or completion of the General Education Development (GED) test.

  • Proof of an Unrestricted Class 5 Drivers Licence

  • Proof of a current Alberta driver abstract, with no suspensions and no more than two violations within the last three years

  • Provide resume and work references

  • Physical demands testing

  • Drug and alcohol testing
