Indigenous voices are essential to the success of the Better Together Project (BTP)
WE WELCOME FIRST NATIONS, MÉTIS AND INUIT COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO PARTICIPATE
Join us virtually over the lunch hour to learn about Indigenous-led change to health, healing & care in the region.
The Better Together Project (BTP) is a groundbreaking opportunity for Indigenous peoples within Treaty 8 and the Regional Municipality Wood Buffalo to redefine what health and care means to them.
Led by Indigenous peoples and their perspectives, the Better Together Project (BTP) wants to change how mainstream healthcare, local care, and traditional healing services are provided and accessed. This inspiring initiative involves converting a portion of the former Continuing Care Unit in the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre in Fort McMurray into a culturally enriching and welcoming space.
There are five virtual sessions to select from in the form:
Group One: Friday, October 18th from 12:00pm - 1:00pm
Group Two: Wednesday, October 23rd from 12:00pm - 1:00pm
Group Three: Tuesday, October 29th from 12:00pm - 1:00pm
