The stress created by having to deal with emergency situations and incident response to injury and death can have negative effects upon the health, emotional lives and families of those who have responded to critical incidences.
In this training workshop, participants will understand critical incident stress and become better able to survive and maintain their health before, during, and after critical incidents.

A 36-year career in Manitoba, Gord was a co-developer of the Manitoba Critical Incident Stress Management Network, Community Trauma Postvention (CTP) services for the Regional Health Authorities and psychosocial disaster recovery programmes for the forest fires in Manitoba (1989), 1997 floods in Manitoba, Swiss Air 111 crash (1998), Tornado in Elie Manitoba (2007). He has provided responses and numerous training sessions and workshops on CISM and other trauma topics.
