All community members of Fort Chipewyan are invited to pick up a food basket for their household. Items include a Duck, Roast, Stovetop Stuffing, Cranberries, Corn Niblets, bag of Onions, bag of Potato, bag of Carrot, Buns, Butter, Pie and a Christmas Cookie kit.
Delivery can be arranged for Elders in need.

ABOUT THIS PROGRAM
This program is part of the Harvesters Support Grant, funded by Nutrition North Canada.
The Grant provides funding to Indigenous governments and organizations to support hunting, harvesting and food sharing in isolated communities.
Fort Chipewyan is eligible for the Harvesters Support Grant, as it meets the following requirements:
be eligible for the Nutrition North Canada subsidy
lack year-round surface transportation (no permanent road, rail or marine access)
be reliant on air transportation for more than 8 months each year
meet the territorial or provincial definition of a northern community
have an airport, post office, or grocery store
have a year-round population according to the national census
