Fort Chipewyan community members are invited to pick up a Complete Turkey Dinner Hamper for your household that includes;

• A TURKEY

• A ROAST

• AND A GINGERBREAD KIT

December 4th - Elders delivery

Elders delivery beginning at 12:00pm Delivery to Elders can be arranged for those in need.

All delivery service requests must be made by November 26th

December 5th - Community distribution

Community Distribution at Kai Taile Market

This program is part of the Harvesters Support Grant, funded by Nutrition North Canada.

The Grant provides funding to Indigenous governments and organizations to support hunting, harvesting and food sharing in isolated communities.

Fort Chipewyan is eligible for the Harvesters Support Grant, as it meets the following requirements:

be eligible for the Nutrition North Canada subsidy
lack year-round surface transportation (no permanent road, rail or marine access)
be reliant on air transportation for more than 8 months each year
meet the territorial or provincial definition of a northern community
have an airport, post office, or grocery store
have a year-round population according to the national census
