March 14, Week 1 | The Self | Visions and Values

Week 1 provides an introduction, outline and goals for our 6 week Path to Power program. We explore “The Self.” The who “YOU” are.

How you see yourself as a person and how you show up in the world around you.”

We look at “what” part of the SELF in SELF DEFENCE needs defending? Each of us is a living, conscious entity who has a right to their sovereignty and freedom as they live in this world. Every SELF deserves the right to protect and defend this Freedom from harm, harassment, control, oppression, and physical violence from internal and external threats to our beings. This physical body, mind and spirit or energy, makes up our SELF and is referred to herein.

We take a look at the Where, When, Why and How of self-defence and personal boundaries, and discover that self-defence is more than protecting our bodies and minds; it is also about how we connect to the greater intuitive aspects of ourselves as energetic beings. We have a life force inside us that is connected to source energy. We can communicate with this source of energy through our intuition or sixth sense. Learning to listen and trust this intuitive self, can give us guidance in all aspects of our lives, including ways to stay safe.

This week we look at “the Self” of the community as a whole, exploring the ways Athabaskan culture, value and community vision can aid us on our individual personal protection and empowerment journeys. We create individual and community vision statements that will guide and carry us through the program.

“Your greatest awakening comes, when you are aware about your infinite nature.”
