This program is offered to First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people living in Fort McMurray.

This is a 15-week in-person program.

Now accepting applications for Fall 2023 and Spring 2024.

Program Includes:

  • Foundational Learning

  • GED Certification

  • Career Planning

  • Employment Skills

  • Safety Training

  • Cultural Activities

Participants must:

  • Be Indigenous living in Fort McMurray

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Agree to complete an Academic Placement Assessment

URBAN INDIGENOUS EMPLOYMENT PREPARATION PROGRAM

The Urban Indigenous Employment Preparation Program (UIEPP) is a unique Upskilling Program. The partnership between Athabasca Tribal Council (ATC) and Keyano College sees First Nations, Métis, and Inuit people living in the Wood Buffalo region able to take courses to improve their the education and ultimately their resume, fueling opportunities for employment, career advancement, and continuing skills training toward their dreams.
