Generous Donation to ATC from PICL Management, Former ATC Funding Recipient

Fort McMurray, October 16, 2018 – PICL Management Ltd is making a mark on the future through their donation to Athabasca Tribal Council’s Education program demonstrating a commitment to the community by supporting youth and students.
Last week, the Athabasca Tribal Council was delighted to receive the generous and unsolicited donation of $6,000 made by PICL Management Ltd.
“The generosity of PICL Management Ltd. is extraordinary and will be used to support the Post Secondary funding as well as support for our programing,” says Karla Buffalo, Chief Executive Officer of ATC “support from local Indigenous companies allows our departments to adapt to changing needs of youth and students in our community.”
“As a former recipient of Athabasca Tribal Council Education funding, I was able to access not only post secondary education but also support with participation in high level sports. The reason behind my donation is to give other youth who are passionate about sports the same opportunity that ATC gave me.” Said Shay Laurent.
